Studio

The studio has accommodated several shooting configurations, from the lightest to the most sophisticated.

This workshop allowed professionals to get an overview of the multiple practices and possible budgets offered by digital cinema.

A special focus was done on tapeless workflows.


Trailer encoding

In partnership with Ymagis, OpenCube, Magic Hour, Doremi and Tektronix, an encoding workshop was held within the exhibition area. It maked it possible for distributors to encode, for free, the trailers of their movies.


Espace DIFIM

A small theater, built within the exhibition area, has accommodated workshops where distributors and exhibitors shared their experiences as well as technical conferences organised by the EDCF and the European Project EDCine:

Distribution workshops

  • Wednesday January 28 from 10:30 to noon: Copies transportation: feedbacks on hard drives and downloading
  • Wednesday January 28 from 14:30 to 16:00: How to distribute digital films in multiple territories: cost-sharing, digital sub-titling

Exhibition workshops

  • Thursday January 29 from 10:30 to noon: Presentation of 3D display systems
  • Thursday January 29 from 14:30 to 16:00: Installation and maintenance of digital cinema equipment: feedbacks from exhibitors

EDCine conference

  • Thursday January 29 from 16:00 to 18:00: Advising decision makers towards a sustainable approach in the field of digital cinema
